What to include in a request
Providing these key details allows us to respond promptly to your request. The property address is the most important, because the address decides the building authority as well as the ground conditions — the Town of Ladysmith, North Cowichan and the Cowichan Valley Regional District all administer parts of this coverage area.
The second is the current heating system. Baseboards, gas furnaces, and oil systems each connect to different rebate programs, while replacing an existing heat pump is not eligible for rebates.
The Home Renovation Rebate has no income test, while the CleanBC Energy Savings Program requires income verification.
