- Two can stack. BC Hydro funds the baseboard conversion directly at up to $5,000, and the income-tested CleanBC Energy Savings Program sits on top where the household qualifies — up to $16,000 for a family of four with pre-tax income under $87,350.
- Can a rebate be claimed after the work is finished?
- No. The CleanBC Energy Savings Program pays through contractors registered with it, and the approved amount is deducted from the final invoice. A household that hires an unregistered installer receives nothing, and there is no retroactive fix.
- Does a heat pump raise or lower a hydro bill?
